Opportunities for Families

Opportunities for children, youth, and their families:

Adult Opportunities

The church’s Local and Adult Missions Committees work together to offer a variety of mission service opportunities right here in our local community and even on the church’s own campus. These service opportunities provide an inspiring way to live out God’s call to serve others no matter our age — there is a need and an opportunity for all ages to serve.

Upcoming Mission Trips

Going on a short-term trip can be a life- and faith-transforming experience. If you’re lucky, it will take you out of your comfort zone and cause you to rely more fully on God and return you to your family, church and community a changed person.

If you don’t see the perfect fit in the list below, additional trip options are available through our Presbyterian mission partner, The Outreach Foundation. Check out any of their available trips.

Some trips will have a work component with measured effort such as completing a wall, roof or entire building. Others may be strictly relational, wherein your presence serves as an encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

No matter the specific focus of any given trip, mission service is part of our calling, and First Presbyterian Church, Nashville seeks to facilitate that call for its members through a variety of service offerings away from our local community.

Opportunities for extended building projects include trips to Jamaica, Haiti, Rwanda and Kenya. A relational trip is made each year to Cuba as well. Depending on availability of medical staff, the church sends a mission team to the Dominican Republic to serve in San Juan de la Maguana near the Haitian border.

Financial assistance is available for FPC members to participate in any FPC-sponsored mission trip. Contact Sandra Randleman 615-298-9502 or srandleman@fpcnashville.org to submit a request.
