Disaster Response

Is your family ready for disaster? Education and preparedness are key to the safety of your family and your property. Download a Household Preparedness Guide from the Nashville, Tennessee, Office of Emergency Management.

Additionally, our Session has entered into an agreement with the American Red Cross to provide temporary emergency shelter on our campus to area residents who are unable to remain in their home due to an area-wide disaster.

Our congregation sets aside funds each year for direct support to communities here in the U.S. as well as around the world affected by both natural and man-made disasters.  Sometimes the funding support flows through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. For additional information about PDA, visit their website.

Finally, a Disaster Response Team has been formed consisting of members of the congregation who have agreed to share their time and professional skills to affected families. If you would like to be a part of this Response Team please use the link below to add your name to the list of people contacted when a need arises.

We are seeking individuals who might offer use of tools/equipment; provide physical labor to help with clean-up; or provide guidance relating to professional services such as legal, financial, insurance, construction, engineering, etc. The goal is to gather information to help church members and others in the community in their time of need.
