Five Cents Per Meal Program
First Presbyterian Church as part of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee is proud to participate in the 5 Cents Per Meal hunger program. The program provides an opportunity for individuals and families to participate in a corporate response to world hunger. By contributing 5 cents per person at each meal, we are reminded of the needs of others and our call as Christians to respond to their hunger.
Through its Hunger Grant Program, the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee annually awards financial grants to agencies throughout Middle Tennessee which are on the front line in the fight against hunger.
5 cents x 3 meals x 365 days = $54.75 per person annually.
Small contributions add up to large ones.
