Livin' By The Law
A March 2003 edition of USA Today featured a large article on cowboy churches in Texas. At the Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas, the "Cowboy's Ten Commandments" are posted on the wall. Would it be any easier to keep God's laws if they were written in cowboy style ?
Ten Commandments Fer The Cowboy
1) Jist one God
2) Put nuthin' before God
3) Watch yer mouth
4) Git yerself to Sunday meetin'
5) Honor yer Ma & Pa
6) No killin'
7) No foolin' around with another fella's gal
8) Don't take what ain't yers
9) No tellin' tales or gossipin'
10) Don't be hankerin' fer yer buddy's stuff
