Ten Commandments - Cowboy Style

On Thursday night, we heard a powerful message about claiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our life. We heard about God's desire to give us the most precious gift of all ... life eternal with Him and Jesus in Heaven. We learned that forgiveness didn't come cheap for God - Jesus died a very horrific and painful death to save us from the wages of sin - our death. We learned that receiving God's grace is receiving

Following the evening message, each person found a quiet place outdoors to be alone to talk with God. We reconvened at the outdoor amphitheater to share the opportunity to make first time commitments to Christ or make a re-commitment to turn away from the life that is keeping us from the rich relationship God desires with us.

Those making first time commitments came forward to receive the light of Christ in the form of candlelight and pass it on one to another until the entire camp joined together singing the most basic of all love songs, "Jesus Love Me."
