Safe Haven Family Shelter

Safe Haven Family Shelter logoLooking for a volunteer opportunity to share next year with your family, a group of families, or a group of friends?

There is only one shelter in Nashville for families who find themselves homeless and wish to remain together during their time of need for lodging. That shelter is Safe Haven Family Shelter, located on 3rd Avenue South.

First Presbyterian Church has committed to serve Safe Haven with volunteers to provide dinner for 25 – 30 residents on the first Monday of February, April, June, August, October and December.

Volunteers may prepare the meal in their own home or on-site at the shelter’s newly expanded kitchen. We encourage all volunteers to eat with the residents and then head home after cleaning up.

We invite you to come alongside these families for just one night. Individuals or groups are all welcome to serve.

For questions, to learn more and volunteer, or to be added to a Safe Haven “last minute” needs call list, call (615) 298-9507 or email Annette Crout at email missions@fpcnashville.org.
