Senior Mission Trip to San Francisco
One of our Senior mission trips this past summer was to San Francisco, California in late June. Our time was spent working along side the wonderful people of the San Francisco Rescue Mission. Our tasks were many and varied from cooking the meals we would distribute through home delivery and the soup kitchen, to helping the teachers and children of their private Christian school, to assisting the ministry run thrift store, to visiting with the homeless and needy who spend their days on the city streets and in the parks; inviting them to a free, hot meal. As we heard their stories and saw their need, we longed for Christ's love to heal their hurts and were keenly aware of God working through the Mission to reach his beloved people in San Francisco. We were privileged to be a part of this community, if even for only a week.
