2008 Home Build Scheduled
First Presbyterian Church's seventh Habitat for Humanity Home is looking for volunteers. As many as 200 volunteers are needed to build the Habitat House that First Presbyterian is building!
In addition to Habitat construction staff and families performing sweat equity, it generally takes a minimum of 25-30 volunteers per day during the construction of the house. It normally takes eight days to build the home.
We will build over four weekends with volunteers working Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The work dates are:
Weekend 1: September 13-14
Weekend 2: September 20-21
Weekend 3: September 27-28
Weekend 4: October 4-5
This fall's build begins the second all-Habitat neighborhood in a new development call Timberwood.
