Sixty-eight 7th and 8th graders and 20 youth and adult leaders had a great week at the Great Escape 2006 in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. All of us enjoyed the fellowship, the speakers and the activities!
The Great Escape is a time for personal growth, bonding with your youth group and its leaders, and getting to know other youth from around the country.
The afternoon speakers used improvisational comedy to spread the gospel message and the evening speaker, Browning Wood, presented concepts in an easy to grasp way that were really moving in our spiritual journey.
A highlight of the week was commitment night when many of our group gave their lives to Christ for the first time. Our week ended in a shaving cream war and we spent a fun day at Six Flags Great America.
