2008 Youth Trips
 


Thirty rising 10th graders and six adult leaders ventured to Cranks Creek, Kentucky on July 14th for a week of service, worship, fellowship, and fun. We painted, roofed, repaired, and rebuilt homes and trailers in the community. We loved meeting new people and serving the people in Cranks Creek, KY. We made new friends with the youth and leaders from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina.




Each day we broke into work groups and went out into the community. There was little complaint and a great deal of love and commitment to the people we were serving. Each group came to love the family for which they were working and gained a new appreciation for God's love and grace for all people.

 
At the end of the work day, we all gathered at Martin's Fork Lake to clean up and have fun. It was a beautiful lake and everyone looked forward to that part of the day.



Our evenings were spent in worship and family time. Everyone returned with a renewed commitment to service and to the church.

Ephesians 6:7 – Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men.
