The rising senior mission trip to Jamaica was an enriching experience both spiritually and physically. Six of the ten days were spent working with other churches and youth groups at the work sites, infirmary, or school. At night Jamaicans or youth group leaders would speak which was followed by family time with our FPC group. One day we went to Dunn River Falls and Ochos Rios to go to the market. We also sat through a longer than what we were used to Jamaican church service – all three hours of it! At the talent show, Jarrod, Brian and Andrew played the guitar very well while Andrew sang. At the end of the ten days, some groups had finished cementing roofs, building porches, and/or putting up walls. The Jamaicans we were working with at the sites were very cheerful, respectful people who taught us lessons in faith and devotion.
