On June 24th, 75 loud, crazy, and fun junior high students and leaders left for the Great Escape in wonderful Cleveland, TN. During that week, we played games, made up unusual team chants, won tournaments against other churches, and got messy; all because of Christ's extravagant love!
Twice a day we came together to praise our Father (and watch other leaders drink disgusting combinations of food as our entertainment). Christ came to us not just in these worship services, but also in the hearts of our kids.
Day by day we saw Christ working in their hearts, and in turn working in our own hearts. The Great Escape wasn't "just a camp," it was a place where Christ's love existed in messy games, early wakeups, and river rafting.
